Cutie

Today we fixed Neeve's hair in two pigtails. It was darling.

Peggy - you were right - the knots came out with only a few hairs pulled.

Thanksgiving at our house!

Here we are having Thanksgiving at our house this year. George and Peggy got here early to get the turkey in the oven - Jon was watching closely to know how to make the stuffing in years to come. Caleb was a big help with his apron and cook set.

Peggy took the kids for a walk and they had a great time - not to mention they looked cute in their winter garb.

Everyone slept over that night and helped Jon get a good start on the climbing wall we decided to put up in the basement.

To help with the climbing wall, Caleb got a handy work set from Peggy and George that morning for his birthday, but Neeve stole the show as she was the one willing to put on the dress up parts of the set.

She was hilarious with her Napoleon Dynamite faces while wearing the goggles.

Arizona for the week

Here are some fun shots that my mom took as we were visiting in Arizona.

Caleb and Sam posing for some cousinly love.

Neeve looking cute as usual.

Caleb got a bake set from Grammy and Grandpa Balls - he absolutely loves it.

And I just couldn't leave this photo out.

Halloween

Well, I guess I am just slow getting things up, but I'm ok with that.

Here we are on Halloween.
Neeve was a little witch - a cute one at that.

Caleb was a baseball player.

Jon was - well you guess.

Well, he was Dilbert, and I was a witch with Neeve. Marie was the one taking this last photo, and she was dressed as - the witch's sister - a witch without a pointy hat.

Happy Halloween!

Climbing day

We finally got back outdoors to climb right before the season is ending. But the kids had a good time being outside - with the exception of the new bruise on the forehead (Neeve), and the fat lip from "falling out of the tree" (Caleb).

Neeve thought it was great to "swing-swing up high." She was also totally exhausted from not taking a nap and would have fallen asleep if we left her there a little longer. Caleb was too cautious to try and lived vicariously through Neeve's good time.

Sunday Dress ups

Neeve was so excited to pick out her dress, so we took her photo, and of course Caleb had to get in the action.

The next Sunday, Jon and Caleb were looking spiffy in "same-same" suits.

And of course Neeve had to get up there too to get her photo taken.

Just some randomness

Well the kids looked so cute just handing out together in the closet, I decided to get out the camera.

They thought it was fun too.

My dad came up for conference and wanted to come and see us - so we went to a football game - where our Alma Maters faced off. BYU won, but Utah State did score twice while we were there.
Caleb was so excited he kept telling us we were going to the Big Football Game. We pass the stadium often and he has wanted to go to a game.

Goblin Valley Camp trip

We had a great time with our friends the Ross' on a camping trip to Goblin Valley last weekend. This is a dry creek bed just down from our campsite. Keryn and Mercy were just coming back from a walk.

This was the campsite - roughing it to save a couple dollars - well, actually the campground was full. But we didn't mind.

Caleb wandering out in The Valley.

We found a cool little cavern up in the cliffs on the far side of the valley.

And we all had a great time playing house.

And finding fun rock chairs to sit in.

Etcetera.

Both kids "up high" in a hueco.

Been through the desert on a horse with no name...

Fall Canning Days

All of our beautiful peaches. Wow - I hadn't counted until just now - but that is 70 quarts. Not all mine - Peggy and Kate came over and worked all day long.

The kids liked the fruit boxes - Grandma Peggy helped make them into a train.

Neeve got just too tuckered out the day we made jam.

Campout with the Ryskamps

We took a little walk with the kids to find the stream. I thought it was worth it.

So did the kids they thought throwing rocks in was the most fun, until.......

Mom showed them how they could get to the middle of the creek by rock hopping. Caleb tried first, but Neeve was not about to let him have all the fun and took turn for turn holding to mom's hand and heading out into the water.

On our little walk after dad arrived - we had to show him the water too.

Neeve and McKinley just hanging out at the campsite.

Day at the Barn

These photos are thanks to Kate for remembering her camera on our outing to Thanksgiving Point Barn.

This is Neeve, Caleb, and Reed watching a little colt who is happily gnawing on Neevie's pants.

Here we are on our horse drawn cart ride. The kids weren't liking it as much as I thought they would.

These two white horses were very friendly.

After the fun, Peggy got us an ice cream treat, but the best treat was watching these kids run around on this hill. Grandma Peggy taught them how to roll down.

These two little girls has to be ok with hanging out with their moms. McKinley is Neeve's little cousin.

Random August

We had a great time at the Demolition Derby this year - we had so much fun last time, that we invited Peggy and George, and Jordan and Kate and McKinley to come with us.

This was probably the most exciting crash up.

We went on the 1st Ward camp out and had a great time, even if we were all a little shy of a good night's sleep.

Not to mention dirty.

But Happy.

Jon was out of town, so we had a movie dinner. They love their little chairs and use them anytime they are watching a video. Right before the photo, they both had their feet on the foot rest/dinner table, I thought it was darling.
