Fall Canning Days

All of our beautiful peaches. Wow - I hadn't counted until just now - but that is 70 quarts. Not all mine - Peggy and Kate came over and worked all day long.

The kids liked the fruit boxes - Grandma Peggy helped make them into a train.

Neeve got just too tuckered out the day we made jam.

Campout with the Ryskamps

We took a little walk with the kids to find the stream. I thought it was worth it.

So did the kids they thought throwing rocks in was the most fun, until.......

Mom showed them how they could get to the middle of the creek by rock hopping. Caleb tried first, but Neeve was not about to let him have all the fun and took turn for turn holding to mom's hand and heading out into the water.

On our little walk after dad arrived - we had to show him the water too.

Neeve and McKinley just hanging out at the campsite.

Day at the Barn

These photos are thanks to Kate for remembering her camera on our outing to Thanksgiving Point Barn.

This is Neeve, Caleb, and Reed watching a little colt who is happily gnawing on Neevie's pants.

Here we are on our horse drawn cart ride. The kids weren't liking it as much as I thought they would.

These two white horses were very friendly.

After the fun, Peggy got us an ice cream treat, but the best treat was watching these kids run around on this hill. Grandma Peggy taught them how to roll down.

These two little girls has to be ok with hanging out with their moms. McKinley is Neeve's little cousin.
